Advent with the Serenity Prayer

A Three-Session Class with Rev. Jeff Kunkel

Sundays 5 – 6 pm, December 6, 13 and 20

The Serenity Prayer, first written in the 20th century, has become one of the most popular prayers for Christians and those of other faiths. The prayer is at its best when it is USED as a spiritual tool in discernment.

Participants will learn the background of the prayer, memorize the prayer, and practice ways to use the prayer to reckon with confusion, resentment, stress, loss, and joy.

Session 1: “Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change…”
Session 2: “The courage to change the things I can…”
Session 3: “The wisdom to know the difference.”
