We hear from Jim Wambach, Executive Director of Children Rising – this year’s recipient of our Christmas Offering- and we debut our supporting short film, Rise Above, by Michael Barber.

OUR CHRISTMAS OFFERING
Children Rising is an Oakland-based organization that provides tutoring help for children who have fallen behind in their studies. 70% of Oakland’s children living in the lowest income area are 2 or 3 grades behind. Children Rising will be the beneficiary of this year’s Piedmont Community Church Christmas offering, taken during Christmas Eve services.
