Our spring 2025 Come and See new members classes led seven people to join Piedmont Community Church. Pictured with Don Ashburn (left) are Rose Mary Richmond, Katherine Bini, Laura and Mike Taylor, Elin Hansen, Anita Bryson and Jocelyne Birren.
You can read more about each person below.

ROSE MARY RICHMOND – “I am a retired nurse who has lived in Piedmont for 57 years. I am looking forward to joining with new and old friends as we fellowship and worship together and grow closer to God.”

KATHERINE BINI – Katherine Bini is a resident of Piedmont who was called to the church for the memorial service of her daughter’s friend just after the new year. Katherine found peace, comfort, inspiration and community at the Piedmont community Church especially during these tumultuous times in our country’s history. Katherine works at a nonprofit consulting firm based in Washington D.C. Her husband Stefano and two children Michaela (20) and Gianluca(18) join her at worship when possible.

LAURA AND MIKE TAYLOR
“I’m super excited to join this community – especially the choir. I hope to meet new friends and grow with the Church.” – Laura
“I’m looking to get more involved in this community and make meaningful connections here.” – Mike

ELIN HANSEN – Elin is a retired elementary school teacher. “I’m joining the church to increase my faith and to help others grow theirs. I’d like to visit with skilled intermediate care individuals at a local senior care facility as I did for many years.” Elin is also interested in women’s Bible study.

ANITA BRYSON – “I have lived in Piedmont for 42 years and was attracted to the church by the sermons, the choir and the fellowship. I am pleased to support the church with my membership.”

JOCELYNE BIRREN – “As a long-time Christian, I find it amazing that the more I know about being a follower of Christ, the more I don’t know. I chose to join Piedmont Church because it offers me the opportunity to (1) worship God in a nurturing environment that repeatedly proclaims and reminds us of God’s grace and astonishing love, (2) live out my faith in active and tangible ways, (3) grow spiritually in a safe place and (4) be surrounded by a warm, welcoming community who, too, is on a journey. I look forward to the discoveries that lie ahead.”
