The Forum is a 90-minute presentation and discussion on issues addressing the “Intersection of Faith and Culture.” They are usually scheduled for a Sunday evening, but the times vary. Ask questions, offer feedback, bring a neighbor, and meet a friend! Refreshments are provided and childcare can be arranged in advance. The Forum meets in the Chapel in the Christian Education Building. Past Forums have addressed such topics as: “Faith and Politics,” “Faith in the Workplace,” “Faith and Care of Creation,” “Is The Da Vinci Code True?,” “What a Muslim Wishes Christians Knew About Islam,” “What a Rabbi Wishes Christians Knew About Judaism,” “What a Priest Wishes Protestants Knew About Eastern Orthodoxy,” “Where is God When People Suffer?” and documentary films, such as “The Waiting Room” (about Oakland’s Highland Hospital) and the Academy Award-nominated “Facing Fear” (about reconciliation in the aftermath of violence).
