Join the Conversation: Sunday, March 21, 4 – 5:30 pm

Our next Living Room Conversation (LRC) takes place online Sunday, March 21 from 4 to 5:30 pm. The topic is “Trust.”

Trust plays an essential part in building and maintaining healthy families, communities, institutions and countries. Yet, in many ways, trust seems to be in short supply these days — in elections, science, news, and in leadership throughout society. Our focus in the Living Room Conversation (LRC) will be on how to move forward and build trust for a healthier society.

We’ll be joined by Joan Blades, the co-founder of Living Room Conversations. To get a sense of the vision behind LRC and how it works, you can view the video below, which includes Joan and the members of Piedmont Church’s LRC Bridging Team.

In our online conversation, we will split up into groups of about 5-6 people each, moderated by a member of the Bridging Team, who is trained in fostering discourse that emphasize respectful listening, understanding others view and honest sharing.

In order to participate, you must sign up. Here is a link to the signup form:

On the form, please indicate whether more than one person will be sharing a Zoom screen with you. To help the organizers diversify the perspectives within groups from the outset, you’ll also be asked (confidentially) to characterize your own political views on a 5-point scale as best you can.

After you have signed up, you will receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link and written material to help you prepare for the Conversation.
