Senior Ministries at Piedmont Community Church are coordinated by the Associate Minister and carried out by an enthusiastic and caring team of 2 additional senior ministry staff members and volunteer visitors. Seniors at PCC involve themselves in many vital ways, from volunteering to help the day to day operations of the church to hosting an adult fellowship gathering at their home. Others faithfully look forward to Sunday mornings when a cheerful face greets them from behind the wheel of the church bus, which picks them up and returns them home so they can participate in the 10 a.m. worship service. For those who are unable to leave their homes or are spending time in a hospital, PCC has a strong parish visitor program that ensures they will be checked up on both by phone and in person. Below are a few more formal programs enjoyed on a weekly and monthly basis by our wise ones. Please visit the upcoming events page for details on current activities. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for senior ministries, or you know of someone who would benefit from a home visit, please contact REV. DON ASHBURN or call 510-547-5700, ext. 105. |

| Lunch
Bunch The lunch bunch is one of PCC's most treasured and long-standing traditions. Enthusiastic organizers pick a fun activity for a day trip once a month (usually on the first Saturday of the month), including a gourmet lunch at an interesting restaurant. The PCC Bus usually leaves the parking lot around 10 am and makes pick ups at Piedmont Gardens and other specially designated locations before heading out to some of the most interesting places in the greater Bay Area. The bus usually returns in mid-afternoon. Some recent trips have featured museum tours, historical architecture, and visits to Half Moon Bay to the south and Occidental to the north. This program is temporarily suspended until a new lay ministry team can be formed. If you are interested in participating as a leader, co-organizer, or bus driver, please contact REV. DON ASHBURN or call 510-547-5700, ext. 105#. |
