LiveWire
Youth Group The evenings are filled with games, food, fun and fellowship, and each month there is a new activity for the students to enjoy on the weekend. This past year Live Wire went on weekend trips to Great America, Water World USA, and Scandia, as well as a 4 day trip to Hume Lake's Winter Camp where the students went skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and sledding. In addition, the students enjoy bowling and movie nights, sleepovers at the church and outreach activities where they spend time with some of the senior citizens in the community. Each month we have "Homework n' Hangout" days after school where students can come and alternate their after school study time with snacking on food, watching movies and playing games. The church also offers Sunday school classes for the Middle schoolers to attend each Sunday and many students enjoy singing together in the Treble Choir. For more information about music at PCC, please click here. Family oriented church events that are fun for middle school students are scheduled throughout the year. For example, many look forward to joining their families for a long weekend at the annual Memorial Day Lodestar Family Camp. For Lodestar and other family programs, click here. If you would like to know more about the middle school youth program, please contact the Youth Ministries office for more information: 510-547-5700, ext. 8. Please visit the upcoming events page for details on current happenings. |

Fellowship for parents of middle & high schoolers A lay ministry volunteer group of parents organizes a potluck with guided discussions around topics of interest to parents of teens and meets in the home of a family a few times a year. Please check the upcoming events page to see if there are any potlucks scheduled for the near future. Like all ministries at PCC, student ministries depend on the leadership and participation of church members in a variety of capacities. Check out all of the ways you can serve students in the Opportunities to Serve Directory of Lay Ministries booklet (pdf). |
