Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth...
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven...
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

                          Matthew 6:19-21

OVERVIEW

Founded on Easter Sunday, 1910, as an interdenominational Christian church, Piedmont Community Church (PCC) is located in the heart of Piedmont, California, in the foothills overlooking Oakland. Following the 1906 earthquake, Piedmont's population quickly doubled, and the need quickly arose for a local church. What began as a modest Sunday school soon became The Church in Piedmont.

From the beginning, the church was nondoctrinal and inclusive, and PCC continues to embrace a diversity of opinions and theological beliefs. While our roots extend from the Congregational and Presbyterian Churches, PCC members come from an eclectic group of faiths and denominations, including Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist, Episcopal, Roman Catholic, Jewish, and other traditions. Please take a few moments to read our creed, listen to some recent sermons and explore our history in further detail.

PCC is proud of its lay ministry program, featuring over 25 volunteer teams, including a volunteer Equipping Ministries Team whose members offer leadership training and support for lay ministries coordination, and a Mission Action Team to facilitate and expand outreach to local and international programs. Everyone's gifts are needed... Get involved!

Our church family currently includes almost 1,000 members. This inclusive spiritual home is a place where individuals and families can freely explore the depths of Christian teachings and learn together what it means to live a life of faith. Everyone is invited to join us for any or all aspects of worship, fellowship, study, and service. For further information about becoming a member, simply meet Associate Minister Don Ashburn after worship in the front of the sanctuary where he will be available to answer questions and offer an overview of church life
