Celebrating our Centennial
You are invited to two very special events to mark the 100th anniversary of Piedmont Community Church. Please join members past and present in remembering our history of service and fellowship at two very special events.
Centennial Luncheon – Sunday, March 21st
Open to everyone in the church, this catered lunch and short program will be held in the Guild Hall, Clara Barton, and Doris Murdock rooms after the 10 o’clock worship service. Because of space constraints, you MUST sign up and receive a ticket to ensure a seat at the table. Tickets will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis. There is no charge to attend and child care will be available.
Sign ups will be taken in the Courtyard after the 8 am and 10 am worship services beginning on January 31. Additional sign ups will be taken on February 7 and February 14, or until all spaces are filled.
Centennial Concert and Cocktail Reception – Saturday, March 27th
This full evening of celebration will begin at 5:30 pm in the Guild Hall with a catered cocktail reception followed by a vocal and 30+-piece orchestral performance in the Sanctuary. Stephen Main will conduct the instrumentalists and direct the Piedmont Community Church Chancel Choir, featuring soloists John Kendall Bailey, Chris Evans, Tina Harrington, and Christa Pfeiffer. After the concert, guests will be invited back to Guild Hall for champagne and desserts.
This will be a formal event and not suitable for children. Tickets should be purchased in advance; seats will be assigned at the time of purchase. The cost is $50 per person. With the large orchestra, space is limited, so secure your tickets early. Seating and performance times will be strictly observed: seating will begin at 6:30 pm and doors will close promptly at 6:55 pm.
Sign up/purchase your tickets for the Centennial Concert and Cocktail Reception in the Courtyard on February 21, February 28, and March 7 after the 8am and 10am worship services. Tickets will be issued/seats assigned on payment with check or cash.
