CHRISTMAS OUTREACH PROJECTS AT PIEDMONT COMMUNITY CHURCH
Sponsored by the Board of Deacons
HOME

As the holiday season approaches, please find listed below opportunities for our members to reach out to others in our community to share goodwill and cheer for our neighbors here and around the world.   Sign-ups and contacts for each event will be available after Sunday services in December at the Deacons’ table during Fellowship Hour after 10am services.

Toys for Tots and Teens
A Christmas tree with suggested items will be located at church on Sundays in December.  Take a tag from the Giving Tree, choose a gift for a girl or boy, and return the gifts to church. Gifts will delivered by the Piedmont Firemen & women during the holidays.

The Berkeley Men’s Shelter
Our outreach to the shelter has been an ongoing project for years, and families with children are always welcome to participate.  Once again, there are opportunities to serve Christmas Eve dinner to the men, make bags of cookies for them, make toiletry gift bags or prepare Christmas Card Cheer.

Adopt-A-Family for Christmas
This year we have again partnered with CityTeam to adopt families that are struggling and to provide wonderful holiday gifts to their children.  Oakland’s City Team Mission provides us with names of families in Oakland that would benefit from a little Christmas cheer during the holidays. Choose a family or an individual from the list, bring wrapped gifts by December 14 to Guild Hall and place in the box marked with the family name. Sign ups will be at the Deacon Table.

In addition, the Alternative Gift Market starts Nov. 30th, and will be open every Sunday through Dec. 21st after worship services. View the results from last year's market

Thank you for extending your good will with local holiday outreach to the community.
